Pittsgrove Township School District is comprised of four schools and is located in Salem County in Southern New Jersey. Our student body consists of approximately 2000 students in grades Pre-K through 12.
The Pittsgrove Township School District has established a philosophy of education based on the knowledge that each student is a unique and valuable individual and therefore deserving of equal opportunity in the educational process. We believe all students have the right to be treated in ways that show respect for their dignity as human beings and that will permit each of them to develop and retain self-respect. We possess the fundamental belief that every student, inclusive of social class, ethnicity, gender, creed, and ability is growth oriented with continually emerging capacity for experiencing, learning, feeling, and behaving. Consequently, all students have the right to conditions, relationships, and experiences that encompass research based ideologies and curriculum and programs aligned with the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards. All of these are intended to foster maximum development of physical, social, intellectual, and emotional potential. Finally, we believe that education is a shared experience involving students, teachers, administrators, parents, and the community. We, therefore, endeavor to work in the community to achieve the goals of education that are both holistic and personal so as to induce each student’s development as a competent individual in society.
