School closing decisions are made no later than 6 A.M., at which time radio/TV stations are notified. Please DO NOT call the stations or schools. The stations below will report Pittsgrove Township Schools' closing information.
Our School number is 895.
If closing the district is questionable, we may signal for a one-hour delay for starting school and the above-listed radio/TV stations will be notified to broadcast this delay. This DOES NOT necessarily mean the district will open; rather it gives us time to assess if conditions will change sufficiently and to make a determination at that time. Should the decision be made to close the schools, the radio/TV stations will be notified to broadcast this information. A one-hour delay means that all transportation for all students and all starting times of all Pittsgrove Township Schools will be delayed one hour.
In the event that schools dismiss early due to weather/emergency conditions we shall contact the stations to broadcast the dismissal. We encourage you to make appropriate arrangements and instruct your child what to do upon arriving home earlier than usual when no one is home.
For those of you who have children in our School Age Child Care Program (SACC), and have questions regarding the appropriate procedures to be followed for early dismissal, please contact the SACC Program Director.
Our automated telephone calling system normally goes into effect during emergency closings. Contact your child's school to make sure your telephone information is up-to-date or to have numbers (such as mobile phone) or email address added.
