There is still time for applications for the Career Summer Institute 2008 (CSI), hosted by the Center for Women and Work, School of Management and Labor Relations, Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. The application mailing deadline is March 31, 2008.

The CSI is a free, weeklong residential program designed for high school students who completed 9th, 10th, or 11th grade during the 2007-2008 academic year. This intensive career development program will focus on two key stages of career development: Career assessment and career exploration. Activities will include interactive workshops, exploration
of careers and nontraditional workplaces, and leadership skill-building. In addition, participants will meet other students from throughout the state, participate in team-building exercises and social/cultural enrichment activities, and develop tentative career plans. Career exploration activities will include in-demand careers in: Science and technology; healthcare; engineering and mathematics; education; building trades; and much, much more!

To learn more and obtain an application, contact Suzanne Eng, project
coordinator, phone: 732-932-5472, e-mail: sceng@rci.rutgers.edu.
